Course 1: Assertiveness Training:

'Assertion is the honest communication of our emotions and intentions in a way which shows respect for ourselves and others.'

This one day workshop will explore:

  • Fundamental differences between different types of behaviour.
  • How behaviour impacts on ourselves and others.
  • Learning and practising assertiveness skills and techniques in a safe and comfortable environment.

Course 2: Effective Team Work:

Effective team work does not just happen - it needs to be worked on.

This workshop will investigate what makes a team greater than the sum of its parts. Topics covered could include:

  • Process of team development
  • Agreeing on aims and goals
  • Good and bad communication
  • Using individuals skills and experiences
  • Dealing with conflict

These skills can be used to great effect in everyday life to empower people and to achieve goals in both personal and professional lives.

By the end of the workshop participants will have agreed both individual and team action plans to work with.

Course 3: Life Mapping:

'Life is not a practise run - this is it!'

These two half day sessions will give you the opportunity to work on:

  • What is happening in your life at the moment?
  • What is important / what are your priorities?
  • What would you like to happen?
  • Recognising personal strengths and needs
  • Changing things you can change and dealing with things you can't

Participants will leave the workshop with an ongoing action plan.

Course 4: Stress management

Stress is an inevitable part of all of our lives, however too much stress can have a detrimental effect on our health and wellbeing.

Stress management includes:

  • Recognising symptoms of stress
  • Understanding the short and long term effects
  • Learning relaxation techniques
  • Incorporating stress management skills in everyday life
